The Setup

There really wasn't any set up. As far as Tony told me he wasn't sure he was going to do it that night.

Friday April 4th stared out like any other day. We both went to work and while I was at work I decided that I was going to go with Tony that night. Every Friday Tony goes and plays cards and most of the time I don't go with him. I decided that I wanted to go this time. So we were going to go get something to eat and that's when I told Tony that I wanted to go with him. He said o.k. So we went to go get something to eat, but we were driving down Montauk Highway and we were passing all the places to eat. So I turn to Tony and ask him where are we going? He goes don't worry. I had an idea of what was going on at that point. So we turn down the block to go to Bergen Point. We drive down all the way to the water. So we get there and Tony gets out of the car and comes on my side of the car. He was turning bright red and tilting his head to the side. He then says to me"We have been together for awhile, and I love you and I hope that you love me. At this point he gets down on one knee and says "Erin O'Leary, will you marry me?" I said "of course". So then he got up and we kissed and hugged. I love him!
