Military Love.....

When? January 2005

Where? Parsnips lol

Nicholas and I met on January 29th 2005, we met at a little old bar called Parsnips. Not the most romantic place I have to say. From the moment I saw him, I knew their was something wonderful about this man.

Jenn and I met in the most unsuspecting place in the world, it was really weird how it happened.
I was home on vacation for two weeks from Germany, because I was deploying to Afghanistan in another month and I went out the first night home with my cousin Matt. We first went to a well known place called Irish Times in Holbrook, but after being there a while I didn't really see any good looking women and so no reason to stay. Matt said he knew this place that would pack out with women once the night got later. Well we pulled up to this place called Parsnips, which looked like a dive to me.
I even remember asking my cousin if he was sure this wasn't some old veterans bar where old men come to drink and play cards.
So long story short, we went in, and after a little while my cousin pointed Jenn out to me and I agreed she was definitley good looking. So I watched her for a few minutes and waited for her to approach the bar which she did, and as she walked by me I just grabbed her arm and pulled her over towards me. She looked at me like, who the hell do you think you are grabbing me, which I quickly defused by saying hi and asking her, her name. After which I told her mine, asked her if i could buy her a drink, and the rest is history.
But the fact that I have never been in that place before or since is the weird part, and the fact that she didn't even want to go out that night. Add to that, the fact that if i wasn't in the Army, then I wouldn't have been on vacation that weekend or night, and therefore I most likely wouldn't have gone out with my cousin, and if i didn't go out with him, I definitely would have NEVER thought about going to Parsnips.
