The Setup

I had always told Rob I would love it if we got engaged and everyone was there to see it happen and to be able to celebrate with us right at that moment. But for some reason I never thought is was going to happen this night. It was July 1st, 2006 and all of my friends from college were coming down to see the Dave Matthew's Cover Band play at Bayview. We were having a great time and as the night went on, a lot of people close to me were showing up....my friends, my parents, my sister, Rob's mom, etc. I of course was clueless and thought it was just a coincidence.

The most beautiful part about the ring...His mom gave him HER stone to give me!!

When my favorite song, "Crash" came on, my friends grabbed me out onto the dancefloor and the next thing I knew Rob was out there too and we were dancing.
I noticed a circle forming around us and people taking pictures and I asked Rob why and he said..."Maybe it's b/c they know I am going to propose to you..". I laughed..."yeah right" I said.
"Jamie," he said..."you know I love you and want to spend the rest of my life with you." " Yes" I said.." I know." -- I thought he was just telling me this and still had no clue he was proposing.
He said, "no really I want to marry you." And I said..."Rob, I know...I do too." I still wasn't getting it.
"Jamie," he said..."look down!" And that's when I saw the ring!! It was truly the happiest moment of my life. And everyone was there to share it with us!
