The Setup

Jason asked my parents for my hand in marriage without me knowing. We planned to go visit his family in OH and I had no idea that he was going to propose while we were there. One day during our vacation, we went on a historical mansion tour on this beautiful island in the middle of the Ohio River.

Jason asked me to take a picture with him while we were on the tour waiting for the ferry to take us off the island. It was stormy out so I was hesitant but I went. His mother and his sister told us they would take a picture so I still had no idea what was coming. He asked me if I knew how much he loved me and I said "a lot". He then smiled and got down on one knee and proposed. He was very romantic and I smiled and said yes. There were people taking pictures of us from the tour and his mother and sister were so very happy for us.
