I found you!!!

Where? Monitor

I was working at monitor as a summer job when we first met. Our first encounter was the day of my interview. I was helping my mom (who also works there) load some water bottles from her car into the kitchen. Derick walked by and asked if I needed any help. After we loaded all the bottles into the kitchen he shook my hand and said "Hello, I'm Derick." I thought he was cute when I first met him but I saw he was wearing a ring, so I assumed he was married. I soon found out that it was his grandfather's ring that he wore and it was on his right hand.

After working a couple weeks, Derick made it very obvious that he had a liking towards me. His first attempt in showing interest was finding me on myspace. After lunch he came by my desk and told me that he found me.... I thought he meant at my desk and I was like duh.... but he meant on myspace. After I made him feel like such a loser I made sure he befriended me so we could talk more. We e-mailed each other during work and through myspace.

Finally the day came when we hung out outside of working hours. Derick asked me to go to one of his shows since he was in a band. I went to his show and had a great time. Following the show I thought one of his bandmates looked familiar, but I was too nervous to say anything. Sooner than later I found out that I did know Lance because he was my cousin Jenn's boyfriend now husband. :o)

We moved in together after dating for about five months and have been so happily in love!!!
