The Place Bowie, MD

Sooo the proposal. Hahaha.. what a fun story. It was all supposed to happen in front of the Lincoln Memorial during our trip to beautiful Washington, DC (if you've never been during March or April you should... it's gorgeous). Anyway, after a few unsuccessful tries at proposing to me, Adam finally decided to drive back to Maryland. Having thought that Washington DC would be a very romantic place for Adam to propose to me, I proceeded to tell him how sad I was because I had gotten my hopes up that he was going to do it... blah blah blah. When we got back to Maryland, Adam asked if I'd like to get ice cream. Fine by me, I'm always hungry, so we stopped at Coldstone (where I had actually never been before). After we had our ice cream he told me he wanted to take me to this really nice park he had heard about. I thought it was kinda late to be going to a park but whatever, we went. When we got there, Adam just parked the car and we sat there and ate our ice cream. He finished his and just continued to sit in the car. I was like "okay hun, it's late I'm tired, why aren't you driving home?" Needless to say I was getting annoyed at Adam. He kept giving me lame excuses as to why he didn't want to go home right away. I just wanted sleep. Finally he decided we should go, but then... he did it. He leaned over the car and proposed! I never even saw it coming... and I felt so bad after he told me he had tried to do it in Washington, because if I had known I probably wouldn't have given him such a hard time when he decided he wanted to walk all back through places we had already seen. Little did I know that it was because he wanted to propose. It was such a suprise and I couldn't have been happier!!!
