Always Been Around

When? Elementary School

Where? Albert and Amy's house

Jim and I met each other when we were around nine years old. My friend Amy's brother Albert knew Jimmy and were good friends, but that didn't mean I liked Jim. Like normal kids were really did not get along. He'd drown me in the pool, tease me, and knock my sand castles down at the beach. It took a lot of maturing, and his moving away, for us to finally see eye to eye. Now, we hang out with out mutual friends and things are great.

Something odd happened right after September 11th. Jim called me up to make sure I and my family was fine, and we had a great conversation. He even invited me to go to his house for his family's Thanksgiving Saturday festivities. I accepted, and when I saw him at 17, he was different. Although I know I always have known him, I feel like he and I met that night.

We have grown together as a couple, something rare and hard to accomplish by most high school Sweethearts. We have graduated high school and college together, attended weddings and funerals together, and grown stronger as individuals and as a couple. At the end of the day, he is my best friend, and my life would be nothing without him there.
