The way Dina and I met has to be one of the most unusual ways two people have ever stumbled upon each other. Without going into too many boring details, Dina and I are political beings, myself slightly more so than Dina. I have the absolutely useless BA in Political Science along with some intensive travels. Dina has led a very interesting life in two countries. One of the issues of the world that is dear to our hearts is the Israeli/Palestinian issue. This was magnified for both of us after the events of Sept. 11.

Dina and I did not know each other; however we had both been frequenting the same Yahoo news article’s discussion board concerning the Israeli/Palestinian issue on the internet. We both were involved in many conversations on the discussion board. Some colorful, thoughtful, thoughtless – and others just nonsense and fun. I always liked what Dina had to say, she had style, and I liked it! On May 30th , 2002 at 8:30pm, during one of these conversations we were both involved in, I asked, half serious, and half in just good fun, if Dina was single. Dina’s answer was yes, that she was single, and that is when our relationship as friends began and Dina has been my best friend ever since!
