The Setup

It was a Friday night and I had a lia sophia jewelry party. Matt texted me while I was at the party to call him when I was leaving. Which was not unusual. So when the party was over (later than usual - of course) I called and told Matt I was on my way home but I was STARVING so I was going to stop at Taco Bell to get some food!

So when I arrived home carrying all my bags I went directly into our office and bumped into Matt who was standing in the dark. He scared me but then said he just turned off the light cause he was going to watch tv. So he put the light back on and I was putting all my stuff down telling him about the jewelry party. He said "Come here I want to show you something". So I after I finished putting the stuff away, I followed him into the living room. Where he had the lights off, candles lit and balloons. I was sooo excited I knew that this was IT. So I was looking at him and he was just smiling. I was waiting for him to say something and after what felt like 10 minutes but was probably like 2 seconds, he finally said "I wonder why that one balloon isnt floating to the ceiliing" I looked and the ring was tied to the string. I started screaming cause I was sooo excited and couldnt get the ring off the string. Matt took it off then asked "Will you Marry Me?" of course I said yes and he put the ring on my finger. It was my grandmothers ring. This means soooooo much to me since she has passed away and cannot physically be here with us! We ran down stairs where my parents were waiting, my brother and his gf Kat were there as well. After all the congratulations we went to Matt's parents house and then his grandparents! It was an amazing night I will NEVER forget!
