Floral Fantasy: Getting The Best Bud For Your Buck

by Mia Bolaris-Forget (Staff Writer NYCityWeddings)

Living on Long Island, many of us may take flowers and trees for granted. But, if you’ve already started pricing them, you may already know how pricey flowers can be.

Besides the creativity involved there’s also the fact that some (flowers) are considered exotic, and not found locally, others are seasonal, and still others rare breeds. And, if everything from petals for your pews and rose buds for your aisle runner to boutonierres and an extra bouquet for tossing are a MUST, you could be looking at literally thousands of dollars.

With that said, especially if you are looking to save, experts suggest getting the best buds for your buck by spending the most on the most visible blooms: your bouquet and your centerpieces.
