Presto Chango: What About Slipping Into Something More Comfortable After The Reception?

by Mia Bolaris-Forget (Staff Writer NYCityWeddings)

With many brides opting to slip out of their princess ballgown and into something “more comfortable” for the reception, may leave many members of the bridal party wondering if it’s appropriate if they do the same.

Should the bride (and groom) offer you that option, then by all means take it, but generally speaking, it’s the bride and groom’s day, and they (and only they) have the option of doing whatever they want (of course within parameters and limits).

Even though you may be part of the bridal party, you are still “sort of” a guest, (an honorary guest is perhaps a better term), and much like other invitees, MUST adhere to the dress code the couple requests.
