Write On: Alternatives To Addressing Wedding Day Invites

by mia bolaris-forget (Staff Writer NYCityWeddings)

Once you’ve picked out just the right invite, you’re going to have to decide just who is going to write them ALL out. Remember, the average wedding reception boasts an average of about 150 guests, if not more. And, that means putting A LOT of pen to paper.

Of course, if you don’t have the time, energy, desire, or the handwriting for the job, you can always hire a professional calligrapher to do the desired job. But for those looking to “cut corner”, this is one of the areas to consider, but only if you’re planning a more “mainstream”, casual fete, since mailing labels may seem a bit too informal for a fancier affair. And, when it comes to informal invites, make sure to use simple, playful verbiage too.
