Q & A
Tell us more about Victoria Elizabeth Makeup and how it came to be.Victoria Elizabeth Makeup came to me in a dream. I was interning for an art gallery at the time and oil painting throughout college. Although I enjoyed painting and art, they didn't seem to fully represent my future goals. It was summer 2007 when I first had a vivid dream about makeup. I had opened a makeup studio in Manhattan and was applying to numerous clients. And it was so real; I saw inside of the studio and its design, the branding, the clientele, all of it! This dream revealed a purpose to me deeper than simply creating a business and a brand, however. I envisioned the women, and how their makeup empowered them to see their true beauty: not only on the surface, but inside as well.
This dream inspired my mission to utilize my artistic knowledge and creative vision to inspire women all over the globe. I believe self esteem is a vital part of how a person represents themselves to the world, which I try to allow women to feel through their makeup. In 2012, as this dream becomes a reality, I choose to focus heavily on the bridal industry for one reason: I couldn't possibly have a better experience than seeing a bride, on the most monumental day of her life, stare in the mirror and truly feel beautiful.
How do you help a bride pick out the perfect look for her wedding day?
A bride always wants to be the best version of herself on the day of her wedding. When coming in for a Makeup Consultation it is very important to ask three questions.
1. Do you wear makeup on a normal basis?
2. What is the look you envision for yourself?
3. Is there anything about Makeup you are not comfortable with?
In finding out the answers to these questions you will get to know your bride's style, comfort zones and vision. We as artists must marry our creative capacity to our bride's desired wedding look.
