Q & A
What services do you offer?I am a fitness company offering personal training for brides, grooms and the whole wedding party. Training for that special day will include custom tailored programs for: weight loss management, 1 to 1 weight training programs, pre/post natal fitness, group fitness training, cardiovascular exercise, and flexibility training
Why is wedding time a good time to get back on the fitness track?
Obviously the desire to have a beautiful wedding dress body is #1 on every brides list. Exercise affords the bride-to-be the energy needed to get through those stressful days of wedding planning. Also, being in top shape is definitely a plus when it comes time have children. Being fit will become a forever journey.
Most brides are concerned about looking great for their wedding day but many are prone to gaining weight after the “I dos”. Tell us about special programs and packages for them.
The brides will learn how to continue on most importantly….. after the wedding. Fitness will be part of their daily life forever.
How important is fitness for those who are trying to conceive?
Pre/post natal fitness will create a fit healthy body. After the baby the body will bounce back to a healthy weight much quicker.
How many times a week should a bride-to-be work out to achieve her goal?
My recommendation is: 2 to 3 times a week of weight training and cardio training the other days.
Are sessions also available for the guys?
Absolutely!. Brides and grooms are welcome to train together…Much fun!!
How do men’s fitness routines differ?
Not by much. Each client has a separate list of needs that are individually addressed whether it’s a man or a women.
What about gals/guys that don’t need to lose any weight and are also possibly already “in” shape?
“In” shape might still mean: The need to eat healthier or finding the extra energy to get through the stress of wedding planning. Simply put……tweaking for an even ”better you”.
How soon before the wedding should a bride/couple/wedding party start on a fitness plan?
At least 3 months before is best. The more time the more can be accomplished. Every bride wants the perfect wedding dress body….so why not start the journey now before shopping for your wedding dress?
Do you council on healthy eating?
Yes I do. All brides/grooms have food logs to fill out. We then discuss better, healthy eating habits.
Here is one brides’ journey!!
Getting married is the one day in my life that I always go back to revisit. I look at the pictures and think about my memories. I remember that I was truly happy with me. When you are unhappy with your appearance your self-confidence is low. Working out with Rhonda was not an additional task on my to-do list, it was something I looked forward to and enjoyed. It relieved the stress from wedding planning and helped me boost my confidence back up. Losing the weight made me feel great about myself again. I wasn't sluggish during the busy days before the wedding and at the wedding I had energy to dance my night away.
Rhonda was not only my trainer who helped me achieve more than my goal (27lbs) she was a support system that walked me thru every step. She went to dress fittings with me to adjust my workouts, a shoulder to lean on when things got tough. I never would have been able to do this without her and without her I would not have been able to lose the weight.
