W hen he leaped off the couch and stated he had a surprise for me. He asked me to close my eyes when I opened them he was kneeling on one knee and surprised me with a beautiful ring asking me if i would marry him. Shaun and I have been together for 8 years this summer. We always talked about getting married... and on Wednesday he finally popped the question. I was in complete shock, who gets engaged on a WEDNESDAY! LOL! So needless to say I am over the moon.... Congratulations, best wishes and welcome aboard to Angela and Shaun. Dave planned a day out east for my birthday - vineyard hopping on the north fork. It was a beautiful day together, and finally it didn't rain! On our drive back home Dave decided he was 'craving steamers' so off to Nicky's on the Bay we went. We arrived there to see my family, including my sister and niece from North Carolina to celebrate my birthday with us. In the middle of dinner, Dave toasted to my birthday, and then asked my parents for my hand in marriage. With their whole hearted blessings, he got down on one knee and proposed. Of course, I said yes! Congratulations, welcome and best wishes to Emily Dulik and David Taylor. The happy couple, engaged on June 23, 2009 looks forward to a November 26, 2010 celebration. Corinne is a teacher and a lia sophia advisor. Matthew is a mechanic. They met 2 and 1/2 years ago. They were engaged on Friday night June 12. When Corinne came home from working a lia sophia party, Matthew had the apartment decorated with candles and balloons. Her ring was tied to a balloon. He proposed and she of course said yes! They were engaged with her grandmother's ring! Congratulations, welcome and best wishes to Corrine and Matthew. The happy couple, engaged on June 12, 2009 looks forward a July 2. 2011 celebration. "After four years as a couple, Shane finally proposed on May 29, 2009. It wasn't exactly a surprise - we were already "unofficially engaged" in our minds, but it's very exciting to finally be able to "go public" with our commitment and our love for one another!" "I am originally from Long Island, and my mom still lives there, as well as most of my family in the NY metro area, and FH's family from upstate NY, so a New York wedding definitely makes sense for us!" Welcome aboard to Elizabeth Piwowar and Timothy Lynch and to their families: Tina Hobbs and Dennis Powowar; and Fran and Donald Lynch The happy couple: A First Grade Teacher in Queees, and a NYC FireFighter from Ozone Park, and Levittown respectivley were engaged on May 29, 2009 in the bride's First Grade classroom "Tim propsed to me at work in front of my students. He was there with a friend to talk to the first grade about fire safety. After asking my students if they would like to see the teacher wear his fire helmet, I stood in front of the class. He waved the box in the air asking the class "Boys and Girls, What kind of tool do you think this is?" Although they didn't grasp the concept, a student stated it's a box. At that moment he opened the box. I was in complete shock. He got down on one knee and proposed. It was the happiest and most surprising moment of my life =) They look forward to a July 16, 2011 celebration. We wish them all the best.
