Crate and Barrel: Adding Wine To Your “Must Have” Wish List

by NYCityWeddings.com

Truth be told dh and I were out of our twenties and well into our 30s when we tied the knot. And, with both of us having lived “on our own” for over a decade, we pretty much had everything we wanted and needed when it came to home goods, so we opted to opt out of a shower and a gift registry.

But, as far as getting married “later in life” goes, it seems we are not alone. And, there are plenty of fun and fabulous registry options for those who “follow in our footsteps”. Instead of registering for home goods, why not sign up for eclectic epicurean delights and selections…starting with some of your favourite “fine” wines.

Go ahead…consult with local merchants and (wine) dealers and don’t hesitate or be afraid to diversify your “port-folio” with several appetizing selections. Consider both wines that are ready to sip as well as those that require a little time to “ripen” with age. It will be the ideal accoutrement to those romantic dinners you whip up and for those special celebrations, celebrating your love.
