Thinking of having a destination wedding

Hi All,

Looking for some advice in regards to destination wedding planning. We are thinking early 2015 possibly the Caribbeans but open to anything. Any advice or do's and don'ts would be greatly appreciated. Congrats to all and look forward to hearing any advice.

I know the knot has some helpful information. Also possibly working with a travel agent. I know with us they helped us to narrow down resorts in both Jamaica and DR. Where are you looking to have it?
Wedding wire was also helpful with information. Good luck! If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask :)

Hi Nicole! I second bestdestinationwedding.com, that is the best resource for DW info. I live over there lol! We are having a destination wedding this year in mexico and it's definitely not the easiest to plan. I'm a little bit of a control freak, so it was hard to give up some of that control, but we've visited our location numerous times and have spoken to many other brides and know that deep down it's going to beautiful and perfect for us!
