Need to lose!!

Yikes! I absolutely hate dieting. I struggle with my weight all the time and feel like I really, really need to get my tush in gear before I get married but I find myself always finding excuses. Even knowing my wedding is coming up, I slack! What can I do?! I have tried every diet under the sun. I am one of those people that need instant results to feel like it is worth it, I know that is the unhealthy way but my mind just can't seem to get it together. Any suggestions?!

Re: Need to lose!!

the lemonade diet? though as with most liquid diets you probably gain it back after. I saw robin quivers lost like 70lbs on it in like 3 months and it made me interested. probably not the healthiest diet either but if only on it for a short period of time if you want fast results...

Re: Need to lose!!

I used to go up and down w/ my weight, but the only way I kept the weight off (3 years now!) was good, old-fashioned diet and exercise. Not diet like starving yourself, but really just portion control. I still eat my fav foods (aka pizza and cake) but much less of it than previously. Eating smaller meals more frequently is also supposed to work.

My best motivation is joining a gym..paying motivates me to go,otherwise I don't discipline myself lol! The other tip for losing a quick couple of pounds is to increase the amount of water you drink. It sounds weird, but it helps you lose water weight. Good luck!

I think I should make a note of points mentioned by cj52514. This is really helpful.

crash diets and all those "tricks" never work!! I have tried so long, to be honest, my weight is normal for my height, however, I always feel the need to tone/ loose weight and I NEVER have the motivation, even paying money for a gym membership. My true motivator, and I knew it would be, go try on a wedding dress. Even though everyone told me I looked great in the dress of my dreams (super fitted trumpet dress) I found that I wanted to look perfect and that truly makes you want to go to the gym. Set a goal for yourself and achieve it at the gym- push yourself, it truly helps. Or get a work out buddy. I do work out alone, sometimes with my fiance, but during the week, usually alone. There are so many things, honestly, get on the tredmil and jog, thats the only way!!!!!

I live daily on My Fitness Pal. Dont even consider it dieting- just a way of life now and I love it. If you exercise more- you can eat a lil' bit more, so that's what I do when I feel like splurging!

Need to lose!!

Read the Book "SKINNY *****". Your eating habbits will change instantly after that.

Also try eating more fruits and veggies exercise a little and eat smaller portions. Nothing happens instantly, but you will see results

Need to lose!!

I lost about 35lbs when I was on weight watchers(only program that ever worked for me)... kept it off for like 7 years. It's slowly been creeping back up and I am so depressed over it. So much has changed for me over the past 7 years I entered into the “real world” 2 years ago after college, which means: less time for the gym, sitting at a desk all day, eating what's ever quick to make, snacking at work to keep my energy up...it stinks. I don't know how to balance it all!! I just wanted to say I feel your pain and I am struggling too! I am slowly forcing myself to try and get back on some healthy path I started forcing myself to exercise (3 days a week). Next step try to eat healthier...Good luck & hang in there!!

Need to lose!!

I've been following (loosely) the Eat To Live diet. Last year, I lost almost 20 lbs in 6 weeks on it (the vegan version), but it was pretty hard to stick to and requires a lot of time to prep all the fruits and veggies. Which is why I've only been loosely following it now. I've been trying to hit Planet Fitness at least 3x a week because I've been paying for membership there for years and have barely gone. And lastly, I'm using the myfitnesspal app too. It's hard, but you can do it!

Summer is coming!!! I started selling Bee Pollen supplements after I lost 20 lbs in 3 months without diet and exercise!! I have a thyroid condition so it is very difficult for me to lose weight to begin with. Once I sell someone a bottle to someone they always come back for more!! I recommend starting with the Slim Trim U, then move on to Fat Zero and then Infinity. It does not make you jumpy but you will use the bathroom alot the first 3 weeks. You will need to drink alot of water (it makes you thirsty. You will lose inches more then weight and people will notice within 2 weeks. Call me if you have any questions

Need to lose!!

I've been tracking my calories, fat and sodium in myfitnesspal for the past 2 weeks and have lost 6 lbs so far. I still have a long way to go before I'll feel comfortable dress shopping or taking e-pics, but at least it's a start! Good luck to my fellow dieting brides. :)
