Looking to move to LI....Hi ladies. Currently DH and I live in Staten Island and we are considering moving to LI. We want to be close to the Queen's border and the southern state because we both work in Brooklyn. I am interested in the Malverne area, how are the schools there? | |||

Re: Looking to move to LI....I used to work in New Hyde Park and I really liked the town; the houses were very pretty. I'm sorry I don't have a ton of info about the schools there though.

Re: Looking to move to LI....My husband are selling our house (actually putting on the market in 2 weeks)...I teach in Queens and it literally takes me 12-15 min..Mineola school district which is good :) It's a 4 Bedroom house. Not sure what you are looking to spend but FM if you want to talk :) | |||

Re: Looking to move to LI....New Hyde park and floral park both right by cross island parkway that goes straight to the belt, ( they're on nassau queens border) and decent schools. I live in floral park Ifyou have any questions !

Re: Looking to move to LI....I currently live and work in Brooklyn and my FH lives in New Hyde Park. We are looking to buy something in Queens. I personally love New Hyde Park, and Franklin Square. Garden City is outrageous in prices. However, Valley Stream is not so great so I am assuming the school district isn't either. Message edited 2/19/2012 12:26:07 PM. | |||

Re: Looking to move to LI....Parts of Valley Stream may be part of Hewlett-Woodmere, which is a good district. I do not live there but I work for HW. You have to do your homework.
