I'm inviting one ex. We were good friends before we dated, and have since been friends since we decided to call it quits. Honestly, I feel like it would be more awkward to not invite him then to.

OH NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! I would never do that. What if the pastor/officiant asks "If anyone has any just cause why these two should not get married and they say some crap to stop them" By right pastors and priests have to stop and in some cases depending on what they say they cannot continue the wedding.
LOL don't worry about this. My pastor said they don't even say this anymore. At least they're not at my wedding haha.
I guess it depends on the pastor. I know n\mine does.

no we're not. I was friends w/ 1 of mine until not that long ago, but the friendship just phased out like some do. So nope, not being invited anymore
