Elliptical or Treadmill for home gym? Repost from Slim DownOK, not home gym exactly, as it will be in my basement LOL. I need to get something I can do at home after work, and I am torn between a treadmill and an elliptical. When I lived in NY, I used both at the gym, but can only afford to buy one for my home. I love the elliptical, but I cannot afford the precor and dont know if the other models out there are gym-quality. I looked at some in Sears and they looked flimsy. The Sears treadmills looked more solid, but I dont know if I can run everyday due to bad knees, so I may have to run/walk alternating. Anyone have equipment at home they reccomend??

Re: Elliptical or Treadmill for home gym? Repost from Slim DownI vote for Elliptical trainer. DH LOVES this machine. Also when I use to have a personal trainer they use to tell me you would get a better work out on the elliptical than a treadmill.

Re: Elliptical or Treadmill for home gym? Repost from Slim DownI think you need to know how to use the elliptical because hubby uses it all the time. Will not get on a treadmill. He lost 150lbs the first time using that machine. When I see him work out he does all sorts of things on it and movements, I don't even know how to explain it. But people are always coming up to him to tell him that they never seen anybody use the machine the way he uses it. | |||
