I have VERY curly hair (which I actually get straightened - it's not straight just loose curls) and my hair is very dry, so I wash it every 2 -3 days. I also don't blow dry it (I let it dry naturally) and deep condition it once a week, and leave in conditioner after I wash it. It's a process!! I think if you have very dry hair they tell you not to wash it every day.

I dont wash everyday....i have really thick hair so no greace until the third day....i cant go a third day!!

I wash it every other day and I feel like a greese ball that second day. My hair is very straight from the japanese straightening, so by the end of the second day, as thick as my hair is, it tends to get a bit stringy. Granted this is when I get the most compliments on my hair.. but it still feels yucky to me.

Also, it annoys me to shower without washing my hair. I feel like I don't get clean enough...

It depends entirely on hair type - I have pin sraight extra fine hair and a ton of it - it needs to be washed every day that I want to leave the house. Some people can go days w/out washing and it looks better than the day they washed it (wish I was them).

I would suggest you wash your hair every day and on the weekends if you dont have anywhere to go let it sit for a day or two.

I'm a Greasy Guinea - I wash my hair everyday unless I run late (like today) or if I'm getting my haircut later in the day (I don't wash it more than once a day). I cannot shower without washing my hair - I feel dirty afterwards.

I've heard the same thing Wacky - but I think that should be an individual thing. I have really thick, shiney, healthy hair so I'm not about to change anything by not washing it as often as I do.

I wash my hair everyday....I know its not good for my hair but I feel "unclean" if its not washed.

I wash my hair every other day. Luckily it doesn't get greasy looking very quickly, but that is because I have a dry scalp from hell! In the winter I scratch my head so much I look like I have fleas!

T my friend also washes her hair 2x a week and it always looks great. Shes the one that tells me to stop washing it every day. And that my hair would get used to be washed only a couple of times a week. But I smoke and I cant bear the smell

I was told not to wash my hair every day because its thin and crappy and because my color fades quickly so I wash every other day and only condition it on in between days because, first, if I don't feel water on my scalp in the morning I can't wake up, and second, I can't control my hair if it is dry and curly. I probably shouldn't even be conditioning as much as I do but I just can't stop!

I know plenty of people who wash their hair less than 2x's a week. Actually, the guy who does my japanese treatment is a pretty famous hair dresser in Manhattan. He washes his hair once every 2 weeks! They sell products to keep it smelling good and looking good. I never saw his hair looking or smelling gross.

My old roommate used to get her hair blown out once a week on a Friday, then she would wash it on Monday if she had a rough weekend.. and not wash again till her blow out on Friday.

I wash it every other day.

I also have this spray stuff I think its by loreal that keeps your hair smelling good.
