Not wearing a tiara either? How are you wearing your hair?
I am trying to decide how to wear my hair. I am definitely not a tiara person. How are you wearing yours? Any pics?

Having the same issue. Can't decide at all!! I bought a $8 veil from Walmart so I could try different styles, up/down/half, etc. Still have no clue.

Not a tiara person either. I was thinking of having my hair in a chignon (low, full bun) and putting either vintage pins in it or fresh flowers. I'm wearing a mantilla but I'm not sure how I'm going to attach that to my head yet...
This all depends on if my hair is a decent length by the wedding - I keep it short usually but have been growing it out for about 10 months now (wanted a change). I've also tossed around wearing it half up/half down with some pins. Either way, I'm most likely adding extensions to my hair.

I'm doing a mantilla too! I'm in the same boat of not sure how I'll attach it to my head. I'm thinking of low chignon with flowers tucked in? I have NO CLUE. Guess I'll need a good hairstylist to help me.

I think I may wear the mantilla low - and attach it to the chignon with pins. I don't know yet either. Thank goodness I have time!
How are you wearing the mantilla - single layer or are you folding it a little to give it some "body"?

I'm wearing it single layer. I can't stand the poof of a veil. It just doesn't look right on me. I need to find a hat pin for my veil. I have no idea where to look. Any suggestions?

Yeah, I don't like the poof either. I tried some on, I felt so suffocated! The material of the mantilla was so much nicer...softer. If I wear it low, I'm keeping it single layer...I actually liked it folded over when it was on top of my head. It wasn't poofy - it just had some movement or something...if that makes sense.
No idea on the pins...I've looked on line - but not aggressively. I'm still waiting on my hair growth!  If I come across anything...I'll pass it along!

Someone just referred me to Deniseventi.com and, although she's a bit expensive for me, she does have lots of great sample pics on her site. There are several styles that I really like. I'm not a tiara-girl either!!

A mantilla is a single layer of fabric (mine is english netting) - usually oval and usually the length of a cathedral length veil (I believe). Sometimes there's a lace edge...mine has a thin, beaded edge with beadwork throughout (not heavily - it matched my gown).
ETA...Marcella beat me to it. Here's a pic of mine...disregard the face - I was trying to steady the darn thing on my head! Hmmm, the pic is kind of small...

i think i'm doing the half-up/down thing with my hair too. I was actually thinking of using a comb instead of a whole tiara
i'm not sure how a tiara would look w/ the half up/down thing.
I love the flower/pin idea too. I'd love to see pictures if anyone has em!!!

MarcellaBella LOVE YOUR HAIR!! It looked beautiful. Is your hair that long? I have average length hair (past my shoulders) and not sure if I have enought to braid and wrap around the bun. Also, is that a fresh or silk rose?

Thanks sweetie!! It's all REAL hair, just not MINE lol I have layered, past my shoulder hair and had an entire piece put in.. The flower is silk.. I got married in August, last thing I needed was either a dead rose or bees swarming around lol
