Re: girls with long curly hair........
I still love the Salon Selecitves mousse.....after shower, brush out hair to get out knots, then use salon selectives and scrunch a little and tehn air dry...
I did try a new l'oreal stuido mousse this morning and it made my hair frizzy and sticky...GROOOOOOOOSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Sebastian Wet does not work for me! So many people have reccomended it too!
I have been using Physique and it's not bad - but, I seriously NEED a haircut!

Re: girls with long curly hair........
I constantly have it straight also.
When I want it really curly I use the Maximus gel/mouse product that they have. It leaves my hair great.

Re: girls with long curly hair........
When it's not humid out, I blow it straight and then go over it with my flat iron (ceramic tile only). When it is humid out I use a combination of DEP sport gel mixed with a little of the DEP sport hair glue. Never frizzes.

Re: girls with long curly hair........
I use either Bed Head Power Trip gel mixed with a little Control Freak, or I use Abba Gel Lotion.
I also always use a little leave in conditioner first.
After I put the products in my hair, I scrunch it a little and then let it air dry almost all the way. The less you touch it when it's wet, the less frizzy it'll be. Then I finish drying it with a diffuser and scrunch it.

Re: girls with long curly hair........
It took years, but now I finally figured out what to use. I wash & consition it every other day or so with Pantene for curly hair. After I wash it, I leave in Nexis Humectress as well as mousse, and Nexis liquid gel (it says it is for thinning hair, but just ignore that, it used to just be plain ol' nexis but they developed a new line & put the product in the thinning hair line). In the mornings i usually just spray some water in it with a little bit of conditioner & gel and I'm good for the day. I also deep condition it once a week with frizz-ease deep conditioner.

Re: girls with long curly hair........
When I wear it curly, which is hardly ever, I put Bed Head Power Trip also, I thought no one used that but it looks like someone does :) It makes soft curls. Otherwise I get it blown out all the time :)

Re: girls with long curly hair........
If you buy Light elements by AVEDA and put a small amount on your hair before you dry it, and then smooth out a little more on your hair after you dry it.. Your hair will look BEAUTIFUL and no fly aways, or friz. this stuff is amazing. You can get it at any Aveda lifestyles stores or on ebay.. Good luck

Re: girls with long curly hair........
I have natural ringlets and I think I finally found the way to keep them in check!
If you have curly hair, don't use anything with alcohol because that just dries them out. I use shampoo twice a week and condition every other day.
I then use a leave in conditioner (I like Paul Mitchell), then use hair sirum - abou 5-6 pumpfulls. The one I use is by Loreal. Then I use Dep Gel number 4 because it doesn't make the curls hard but it does keep them from frizzing.
The key is CONDITIONING and keeping the hair healthy so NO BLOWDRIER FOR ME!!!
That's what I do =)

Re: girls with long curly hair........
I have thick long curly hair, that I got highlighted the other day... it took almost 2 and a half hours to get it in the foils!!!! The best thing that keep s me in check believe it or not is Alberto V05 shampoo, and Hair and Mane conditoner, and it takes out knots easily and keeps my curls under control and the frizzies! I asked my hair stylist about that I use this shampoo and he told me that all shampoos are the same it is all the chemicals they add to it, it depends on your hair type. Ps My hair came out great- it was highlighted with a dark blond, and carmel color, with my natural color, medium brown.

Re: girls with long curly hair........
I've been doing this for 15 years (I have long THICK curly hair):
after I shampoo and condition I use Paul Mitchell Leave in Conditioner (Called, The Conditioner)
THen I put it up in a towel while I'm getting dressed.
After I take the towel off I use Biosilk "Silk Therapy" - just a little for shine
After that I use System Biolage "Glacee" - its nice and light and has sun screen.
Then I let my hair air dry until about 3 minutes before i have to leave and if I need to i blow it dry bent upside down (usually only takes a minute)
this has been working for me for YEARS and I get compliments on my hair daily
IF i were to let my hair dry with nothing in it it would be huge and frizzy (just to let you know how well my system works - it rarely gets frizzy unless it is super humid)

Re: girls with long curly hair........
Oh I forgot to mention that I get my hair relaxed so it is still curly but not as big and kinky. Without it & these products I'd have Diana Ross on a bad day big hair! I also let it air dry - no blow dryers EVER!
