My 9/13 Wedding Review
We had an absolutely AWESOME Wedding!!!!
It was raining in the morning which was very disappointing because I wanted to take some pics in my yard on my new swing that John got me but we didn't get to.
Hair - Rob from Town & Country Day Spa - A++++
He arrived at 7AM and did mine & my MOH's hair.
He did a great job on my hair. I will add pics soon.
Make-up - Pat Cavelli - A++++ - she also arrived
at 7AM and she did make-up for me, MOH, and my daughter (BM)
Photographer - Peter from The Wedding Center -
A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++. He
was WONDERFUL to work with. He had all of us
laughing and smiling all day starting at 7:30AM. He was very sweet and a pleasure to
work with. He also had an asst. with him who was very helpful and very nice. She helped with my dress alot (bustling and keeping it off the wet ground)
Limo - Ultimate Class -
A++++++++++++++++++ - They arrived about 10 minutes early (I still wasn't dressed and my makeup was just being finish) Obviously running a little behind but he was very patient. He got all of our stuff packed into the car with help from my MOH's Daughter who came to do my daughters hair. The rain had stopped by the time we were leaving the house. He helped us all get in the limo without getting the dresses dirty. We also had town car service for after the reception and to and from the airport. When we were dropped at the airport in the morning my husband left the Video Camera in the car & the driver (Roy) came back into the airport and found us (illegally parking his car) to give it to us. I just called Matt to tell him how wonderful everything was.
Video - Don't know her name because it was supposed to be someone else. - A++++++++++++. She was very nice & very unobtrusive. She only came & asked me one question during the reception. Otherwise I barely knew she was there.
Flowers - Sugar Magnolias -
A++++++++++++++++++++
Heidi was a doll to work with. My flowers were BEAUTIFUL!!!! Again, pictures will follow soon.
She also made me a silk replica of my bo-k for me to keep. I just had to get the silk flowers.
Invitations - MoesArt Studio -
A++++++++++++++++++
She is a friend of my SIL and had done my brother and SIL's invites. I did everything with her through snailmail & email. She also did my thank you cards to match my invites.
Tuxes - After Hours - Smithaven Mall -
B++++++++
A lower grade because they couldn't find the order originally twice when calls were made to the store.
Also when the guys all went to get the tuxes on the Thursday all were done except my husbands. He didn't get his until Friday. They did give us an extra shirt for DH for free (for him to change if he got too hot) although because of the rain he didn't need it.
My Dress - Lynbrook Bridal -

I had a very nice experience with them. They were great to work with.
DJ - Barry Greenfield - MixMasters -

Barry is a good friend of ours and he did an AWESOME job. He has been doing it for over 25 years.

My Husband got his 2 rings there (one for work & one for all other times) and mine was custom made to fit my e-ring. Stephan did an great job and they were all a pleasure to work with.
BM Dresses - David's Bridal in Queens -

All the girls got seperates. They were all in in plenty of time to get them altered elsewhere. The only problem we had was they charged 3 girls on one credit card instead of 2 like they were supposed to. We finally got that straighted out & they were supposed to get copies of the receipts mailed and they never mailed them.
Pianist - Jim Lowe -

Jim was a pleasure. He played so beautifully! He also sang some at the CH which was a surprise.
Reception Hall - The Beach Club Estate -

The service and food was wonderful as far as I could tell, however, I did hear of 2 problems of things being spilled on people. Princess99's FH had Ceasar Salad spilled on him (Sorry Alex!) The other problems that I had were small and unnoticable to the guests. The first being when coffee was served it was served to everyone but John and I. I later found out that my MIL never got her tea. The second was that my cake was SUPPOSED to be chocolate cake but was yellow cake. I mentioned both of these things to the matri' d after the reception and he QUICKLY got us coffee and 2 large bottles of wine as an apology for the cake. The third was that they were SUPPOSED to wrap up our extra food. They never sent it home. I called and spoke to someone there when I came home from the HM. I went out there on Saturday and they wrapped up a bunch of food for us.
Honeymoon - We went to Aruba and stayed at the Radisson. Everything was WONDERFUL. We booked HM package with massages and dinner, as well as a sunset cruise. We ate at many different restaurants and saw MANY beautiful sights. A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Wedding night hotel - The Inn at Fox Hollow - A++ The hotel is beautiful and we were even able to get somme beautiful pics there. The only problem we had was that in the morning when we got our bill it was double what it should have been. But when we spoke to them at the desk they corrected it after I explained what package we got.

congrats! I used Heidi for my wedding and was VERY pleased with her work! Did you ask her for the silk replica? That was such a great idea - did she charge you extra for that?

Stephanie - Do you know who your photographer is?
Teri - I did ask her if she did silk at all because I wanted a silk replica. She told me she would make it for me free of charge if I got the stems. She then matched the roses for my bo-k to the colors of the silks.
