List things hubby does that annoy you!

Why can't he just put another bag in the garbage after he empties it? It's considered one job isnt it? Bugs me to no end. Don't know why...just does.

And when your expecting a call, whether its gossip, or something good or bad....after he gets off the phone after being told what you were waiting for, you have to ask "well? what happened?" God do I hate that. He did both of those things today, and I got so mad. Not to mention, we've been married a while now, and these things never change. Although they seem stupid...it just kills me.

little bit of a spin but.... he makes a big deal out of nothing... ie - hates when i leave scrunchies on the door knobs. MUST POINT OUT "oh - u did it again!"
get over it! and i tell him that all the time!

Shaves and doesn't wash off the stubble from the sink! Well, he does do it, but the sink is still durty!You know what I mean- he kinda just splashes the water around, so I always have to do it after him. And he always says: "but I did it!" And then I say "NO, you were doing it, but it never got done!"


Oh, and my favorite: durty socks on the couch in the living room!

Whether it's a minute or a 1/2 hour. If he falls asleep on the couch he is dead to the world! And if I tell him to go to bed he gets nasty. So I stop saying it to him & get the bed all to myself.

If he gets on a kick about something he will bit<h about till no end!!!!!!

Leaves every pair of shoes he owns out, leaves his briefcase, keys, mail etc on the living room floor, throws garbage (like bottles and stuff) in my bathroom garbage can, will put a dirty glass on the counter instead of putting it in the dishwasher

he cannot seem to get those darn dishes IN the dishwasher! he can leave them next to, or in the sink, but can't explain why the dishwasher is out of his duties.

I gave up on putting the toliet seat down a loonnnggg time ago.

Misty now that you say that it makes me wonder, since he says that sometimes I think I am perfect. How come he did not know, somebody better tell him.

I have come to the conclusion that if I plan to be with him for the rest of my life, I refuse to let every little thing bother me. If it is earth shattering I will mention it, but these days I just let things go by. I read this line in Don't Sweat the small things in love " Will it matter one year from Today" He and I have beeen practicing this principle.

I used to get worked up about the garbage can w/ no garbage bag, but then I look at it and say, guess what he took the garbage out, so let me just replace the bag. I really and truly cannot think of anything that is really earth shattering, that I cannot ignore that I let bother me.

I don't want him picking on me about everything, so I let him slide some too.

Well, these are things that I shake my head over...
He "wraps" his laundry up. he takes his shirt, throws it on the floor and proceeds to undress and put it all on the shirt. then he "wraps" up the shirt so I have a package to unwrap when I do laundry.
When he washes his hands, he has to get the whole area around the sink and the floor wet!
He doesn't call his mother so instead she calls me to find out what is going on with us- then I have to put up with the interrogation.

I've learned to live with them, and even chuckle over the laundry thing...but some of his habits can be bizarre! What is it with guys?

Shamma- you know your absolutely right. I try not to sweat the small sh**, and I do find myself laughing over it a lot. But sometimes a good vent does the trick. And its funny to read what the other husbands do too. I figure its a venting device. I know, things could be worse right?

And he says to me "At least I take out the garbage" so I had to laugh when you wrote that. I could just imagine what kind of list he'd make about me!

And one more thing he does....Why does he put paper cups in the sink when he has to walk past the garbage to get to the sink????

KCDC I don't want to see his list for me at all. Its ok to vent here, my mom reminds me when I start venting that it could be worse and it definitely make me take a step back and put things in to perspective. Is it really that serious???

Shamma...Im like that now. Little things like that used to urk me Sometimes I think he used to do it to strike a nerve, but I just dont let it bother me anymore

I call it maturity, none of us like to hear all the negative or the bad things about ourselves all the time. So I am trying to live my life with less worry about what he is not doing and focus on what he is doing. I find that I have less stress.

He told me the other day that he felt like I told him more negative things than I do positive things and it really bothered me. Even tho' I told him I was feeling the same way. So we are both working on accentuating the positive and lessening the negative. More compliments, less complaints. It makes one feel as it they can do nothing right, if all we harp on are their negatives.

I have really learned a lot over this pass year I tell you. Only by the Grace of God.

I have a great question of the day for tomorrow.

The paper cup in the sink...they must be related. I try to explain to my husband that we do not have a garnage disposal, the sink is not a garbage and it takes just as much energy to put it in the garbage. He'll put wrappers in the sink too. And napkins. I'm a child of 4 so I'm used to living with other people's habits plus all of my house mates in college but I never met anyone who puts paper products in the sink before.
Yes I realize that this is not the end of the world, and he does things around the house that are shockingly great too, but it is fun to honestly look and realize other couples go through the same thing.

Jaime, I have told hubby before they are called disposable things for a reason, he will wash plastic cups, forks and spoons if I let him I say Roger, it is called disposable b/c I want to dispose of it if you keep washing them we will put someone out of a job He grew up in a home where there were 11 of them so he very rarely waste anything, so I have to remember that sometimes too

Argggghhhhh. Gene refuses to throw away plastic utensils. He puts them in the dishwasher and then will start it so I don't know they are in there til I unload! I then take them and put them in the recycle barrel! How silly!

I too could give you a laundry list of the stuff he does that bugs me, but his good qualities so outweigh the bad that I have to let the little stuff go.

Chris really doesn't do anything that annoys me. He's very clean to live with and always cleans up after himself. He helps around the apartment with all the work. If I had to choose something it would be that he's a slow mover in the morning. But it doesn't really annoy me, so I'm not even sure if it counts. I pick on him about how slow he is in the morning. It's like our little joke everday.

If I could say anything it would be that hubby is
a tad on the lazy side when it comes to home chores- but he works hard all day at his job so I have to cut him some slack.

Our ideas of cleaning or a bit different, I like to clean every day as to not have a "big clean day"
He likes to have a "big clean day" at let things get that way

Im reading the book "Dont sweat the small stuff" and it really has put things into a different perspective for me

Antoinette, I think Roger and your hubby went to that same school of thought he did not believe in the clean as you go system either, he preferred to do "BIG CLEAN" when I told him that I refused to spend all my weekends doing BIG CLEANING, he started cleaning as he go. It makes life so much easier.

sam...DH does the water all over the sink and floor too...

and he will answer his cell phone no matter what...I understand that he has to for work...but when its not work, you can tell the people you will call them right back...DH has left me by myself talking to salesmen a number of times...I cannot stand that


but DH loves to vaccuum!! and he is very tidy in the kitchen...and all around the house in general...so I take the bad with the good!!

Alright shamma, now I feel guilty But on the brighter side.....he's a huge help with our daughter, he does help with the cleaning, he's a chef, so obviously he does some cooking, but I feel bad b/c he's does it all day. Who wants to bring work home? He does do a lot of good things, and of course, they weigh out the bad. Just can't seem the get the garbage bag thing down. And he's standing over me right now laughing about this!

My daughter trashes my car, and he cleans it all out for me. And the best thing of all....mush here....he makes me smile...and laugh. In time I will look over the garbage pail, (just kidding)
