How do you know how many favors you have to order do you wait
until the rsvps come back first, but won't cutting it close?

I made a rough estimate and I think I might be about 5 short if almost everyone shows up. I will wait until the RSVPs come back and then if I am indeed short, I will rush order the others.

order more, then youll have extras,
and you can always give a second one after the wedding to family or friends or people that couldnt make it

I did it the same way we were told to order our invites. Cut the guest list in half and add 20 for single people.
We ended up with extras though.... better to be left with extras than with not ENOUGH!

I ordered how many people we invited - and now have about 50 extras - it's ok b/c for those they sent gifts if they can't come, i am going to send them a favor as a thank you !

we invited 240 (but that included out of country and included singles people with guests) so I bought 165 favors...there was a time that I thought I would be short...and then I thought that I would give the kids something else...or go out and buy something similar...
I ended up coming home with 6 extras from the hall...
