reception at a park/beach????

My FH & I are going nuts and we are thinking if we are to keep things smaller, maybe ths is the way to go. But have no idea wheret o start.

Anyone ever reserve a park for an event?? I am looking for details of where, how, cost, what you'll need day of, etc.

My sister reserved bar beach for a birthday party. She had to pay a site fee and had to get there early in the morning of the party to reserve the amount of tables that she needed. She also had to pay for each car that parked there. This was just a simple party and cost alot of money when you added in all of the things you needed to get. Like the table linens, the caterer and things like that. What about Oceanview Catering at Jones Beach. In the magazine it says $25. and up. 516-785-2420.

What about the cruises? My other sister got married on the Thomas Jeferson out of Glen Cove. It was beautiful with the waterviews and sunset. Hope this helped.

That 3 day deal is pretty cool. but I don't know if I can't expect people to stay 3 days, and it's too far for people to come for the evening.
