What is the best things to wear when trying on gowns
Tomorrow I start my gown search ( yeah ). Do you ladies have any tips on what I should and should not do, wear and what to expect(sp?)?
Anything would be helpful since I have no clue.

Same thing, try on all different styles because it may surprise you. I guess wear clothes that are easy to get in and out of. Also, if you have a strapless bra, bring it (although most bridal salons will supply you with the proper type of bra in your size)

Don't judge a dress by how it looks on a hanger. I HATED my dress on the hanger but loved it on. Also bring something with a heel with you, it will give you more of a look of how the dress will be.

if you have a bra, bring it...When I went Davids did not have the right cup size so I ended up using my own BRIGHT PURPLE one...not so nice to see thru white.....

Same Here. I hated my dress on the rack and on the hanger and also hated style. It was assymetrical and I ended up loving it!

That would be my advice too...try on styles that you do not like. This happened to me...after trying on several dresses, the two my mother and sister picked out for me, which I did not like...were my two favorites. I ended up getting the dress my sister picked out for me...she loves taking the credit for it!!!

wear ANY strapless bra you have (it will just help with the look) and bring a pair of shoes (it is a good time to use those bridemaids shoes that are sitting in your closet!) they typcially have shoes there but it is nice tohave your own!

Wear a nice pair of white underwear and a white strapless bra. Also, relax! I was so nervous on Friday when I started my gown search but the saleslady was wonderful. I ended up buying the first gown I tried on! I went back yesteday to buy it since it is part of a trunk show. Don't bring many people - those that you do bring should be those whose opinion you value. also, try different styles and keep an open mind. Those who say "you know" when you have your dress on are absolutely correct! I didn't believe it until I found mine! Good Luck!!
