I am getting married on Aug 21st 04 when is a good time to start looking or should I have already started

Hey, we're getting married on the same day. Anyway, I just started looking for my gown and purchased it last week. As far as bridesmaids, I'd start at least looking and getting an idea of what you want. They typically don't take as long to come in as a bridal gown but if you have the time, it never hurts to look. I like to get things done as early as possible to avoid any stress of things coming in too late. However, sometimes if you order too early you may see something else you like and change your mind.

Its never too early. Im getting married October next year.. bought my dress a few weeks ago and just picked out the BM dresses!!!

it's nice to see someone in the same boat.I know exactly what dresses I want for my ladies. But i keep seeing all these diff wedding gowns I stop buying magazines because I keep seeing something new

I know what you mean about the magazines. One piece of advice that people kept giving to me and I'll pass on to you it to try on everything. You'll be surprised at how certain types of gowns flatter your body over other types. The one gown that I thought was the one out of a magazine really did nothing for me. I wound up with something completely different and I love it. But, I'm sure that every bride on here has a stack of bridal magazines from floor to ceiling.

I've know for a while the dress i wanted but it is an old lazaro style and i'm having 2nd thoughts so i brought two of my BM's with me last week to look at some. the girl at the store said that it was to early for me to look and that new styles will still be coming up
i didn't like that she said that i hate when people tell me i have time . i know i know

when every you feel is right thats when should start looking

i ordered my gown about a year n advance - and the bridesmaids dresses probably 9 or 10 minths in advance. i'm the kind of person who likes to get it out of the way and do it as soon as possible....it's all up to you!!!
never hurts to look though...

Start looking now. some places need 8 months.
Don't tell them your real wedding date either. Back it out by at least 2-3 weeks so you don't have to worry.

I Ordered mine inApril or may.. it came inEarly August, and I am getting married in October... Good Bridal salons will write your real date, but tell the manufacturer a few weeks in advance, to guarentee its early arrival... Good Luck!
