Alright, I don't want to hear "I told you so.." BUT

I am having dress anxiety!

I bought my gown early (I am Nov 04). I tried on like 40 dresses and I only liked 2.

This is the dress that I ordered:

I saw this dress today:

I should have never read the bridal magazine in the doctor's office today! I am sure the Lazaro is super expensive.

I should have waited to order the dress, I can hear all of you saying "I told you so!" I think I am just freaking out b/c my dad took pics of me in the first dress and he is a horrible picture taker! I swear every pic he takes of me is unflattering.

The second one is really pretty but so is the first! Call the place you ordered it from! A couple of girls on here have done it!

I think we all go through this a little bit...but stick with what you fell in love with first...I can hardly see it in the pic you posted...but I LOVE pretty much all of the Eve of Milady dresses...

Just because you love the dress in a picture doesnt mean it will look just as good when you try it on. Unless you are going to try it on - i dont think you should fret.

Re: Alright, I don't want to hear "I told you so.." BUT

i have the same problem.
i ordered a dress and i loved it when i tried it on and ordered it...but when i look at pictures - it is so unflattering. but i think once i get one that actually fits it will look better!
did your's come in yet - or are you just relying on pictures?
i'd say stick with your first choice....you ordered it because you loved it....trust your instincts!

mine was just ordered in july. when i took the pics i looked horrible seriously, no makeup and hair undone. i think i will delete them so i stop looking at them. i guess that when the dress comes in, in my size, it will look much better!

Re: Alright, I don't want to hear "I told you so.." BUT

I have a Lazaro, and mine was in the $2,300 range. I looked at another Lazro that was much more, so I think it depends.
I think the dress is so important. It wouldn't be a crime if you changed your mind, you certainly wouldn't be the first bride to do that! Why don't you call your bridal salon and ask what their policy is?
What a tough decision!

Good luck!

Re: Alright, I don't want to hear "I told you so.." BUT

I think the one you put money down on is beautiful...stop looking at magazines!!!

I considered a Lazaro early on - it was a strapless, sheath and was $3200 with a $700 matching mantilla. If you really feel you need to, you can call around and get the pricing on the Lazaro...but I think you should keep your very lovely gown - JMO though.

Re: Alright, I don't want to hear "I told you so.." BUT

I LOVE the first one!!! I had the same problem-kept looking at pics with me looking very bad in dress that was too big and got dress anxiety! Definitely stop looking at other dresses!

PS-I went to a veil shop today that had Amalia Carrara VEILS! They would match your dress perfectly!

Its totally normal to second guess yourself. I was worried maybe I picked the wrong dress all the way up until the wedding day. Once I put it on that morning, I knew it was the right dress!

Re: Alright, I don't want to hear "I told you so.." BUT

Both dresses are beautiful! But I think if you really can't get the second dress out of your mind, you should at least try it on. If it looks great on you and you love it, then ask if you can switch dresses. I'm sure if the second one is more expensive they will consider this. I did the same thing and I ordered the second dress just 4 months before my wedding, but as soon as I saw it I had to have it. This is your day, you should be 100% happy with your dress!!

Re: Alright, I don't want to hear "I told you so.." BUT

Well, today as I was flipping channels I put on "magrack" and watched the Lazaro runway show and Lo and behold, there is the dress on a model.

And I have to say I would probably look horrible in it because it is a ballgown and the skirt was so big. It was hard to tell from the picture. I am only 4'11" and i probably would look lost in it! I am glad I saw the runway show. And now I will never look at another magazine again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Thanks ladies!

I actually love the one you put money down on but of course that is just my opinion. You have to go with your gut. Good luck on whichever you decide on.

Re: Alright, I don't want to hear "I told you so.." BUT

I was going through the same thing a few weeks ago. Then I got to try on the dress that I ordered I fell in love with it again. I am a strong beliver though to go with your heart. I saw your pics and I think that you looked great! Give yourself a few days to step back and then think about it again.

Re: Alright, I don't want to hear "I told you so.." BUT

Peg, I saw that same magrack show and I think I know what dress you are talking about. If you are 4'11" I think you are right that it might overwhelm you. Personally, I love the first dress. I think you'll look wonderful in it!

I know how you feel. I put a deposit on one dress that is nice but I really liked another one but it was $800 more. I am going back to the store Sunday to try the samples on again and HOPEFULLY the dress I did order is not already in the process of being made. But I might decide once i try them on again that I like the one I order. I'm so bad at making decisions like these!
