THE SUSAN G KOMEN BREAST CANCER WALK IS COMING UP Join us in Central Park, NYC
September 14th 2003 at 8:45 a.m. I look forward to walking with all of you. PS you should start collecting your monies now.

I don't remember if we came up with a name for our team. If not I am open to suggestions. If you are still interested in being a part of this team let me know. Thanks. If you cannot walk with us but would like to make a contribution, please let me know.

Shamma--I said PLease----you should have stated in your first thread that all PRIOR threads were null and void - do not be rude to me for no reason!! I was on the original list and asked very politely to be removed. Your response was not nice, that is ALL I have to say- in no way was that a clog

after this morning - I WILL Never open this thread again so do not reply to me- IF ALL PRIOR THREADS ARE NULL AND VOID you should NOT have bumped the original thread yesterday, which you did and had me on the list and you again should have stated that in the beginning not after I asked politely to not be included.

Jen I would prefer if you did not walk, you can be a proud in the crowd and wave us on from the side lines and wait for us at the end of the line. What do you think about that instead. I know how quickly your back gets agitated. THink about that and let me know. You will be issues a bull horn and you can bring your chair and you can cheer the walkers on as they go by.

I'd like to walk and my sister will probably walk with us! I was just thinking about this. I'm so glad we're all still going to do it!

Glad to see there is still such interest. My Gf's and I will be walking and probably hubby, usually he gives me his donation, but this year hopefully he will probably keep Jen's company as a proud in the crowd. Men are not allowed to walk, it is not strictly enforced. The men are given t-shirts and bull horns and whistles and they cheer the women on to the finish. I cannot wait to walk with you all.

Shamma - how long is the walk?

Marni, the walk is 3.1 miles, very quick and easy. You can come and keep Jen's company, cheering the walkers on if you choose not to walk. the walk is not a race it is a go at your own pace.

You can make your donations payable to Susan G Komen, Race for the Cure and you can mail it to me. Let me know and I will Fm you my mailing address.

Shamma is the address still the same that you FM'ed me a while ago? If so then I will send you a donation (can't walk that distance yet, sorry). Please just let me know when you need to have it by.

A big thank you to all who walk and donate. I lost my best friend to breast cancer 5 years ago and still miss her every day.

I will add your name to the list Latina, I am so excited, don't forget friends and family can join in the fun. I have so many moms and friends to add to my in memory of BIB, wow. We really have to walk in hope that a cure is found for us and for all women.
