what is on your to-do list before baby comes?

As I am a list Queen I was curious what everyone has on their to-do list prior to the blessed event. Scott and I plan on finishing up the interior house painting in September (well, I really mean Scott and dear old dad ), refinish the dresser in the guest room and getting a new bedding set for it, in August the backsplash in our kitchen along with a new faucet is being done, in October I want to have all of the carpets cleaned. And next week I begin the "put the photos in album" project. I also have "clean out closet' days set.
Stuff like that. Of course, my list could go on and on and on.
And yes, buy baby stuff is on it too

Finish my living room and dining room!!!

We currently have NO walls, flooring, ceiling, or insulation in those rooms, and have not yet picked out a wall color or finish for our new (not yet installed) hardwood floors. This is a MUST.

On the plus side, my LR and DR furniture is being delivered on 10/18.

UUGH! right now, we are trying to make room in the living room for all of the additional goodies (i.e. swing, rocker/glider, etc!) Our house is pretty small, and most of the storage space is in the garage ... which is full at the moment. So we need a large shed for the garage items (mostly lawn & garden stuff) & to clean out the garage to store the rest of my things ... (What a project!)

The baby's room is now the spare room which also been a place for storage. So I'm packing stuff up to put in the garage, but I can't move it until its cleaned out! Then I can finally get to the fun part of decorating the baby's room.

Needless to say ... I can't wait to move into a bigger house next year!

Hey Michele! What kind of question IS this!!! PRESSURE!!!!!!

Kidding of course! I am addicted to lists as well!

1. GARAGE SALE! - gotta get that garage emptied so my car can get in there for the Winter. No slippery slopes for this mommy to be!

2. HOME OFFICE! - We have one, but it consists of a laptop and dim lighting. We need a "real" computer, printer, fax machine to set me up to work from home for a few months...or forever... - +a scanner for posting baby pics on liweddings!

3. NURSERY! - Cause it will need a place to rest it's head and collect lots of special things! We have done NOTHING with this. Starts w. new windows unfortunately. Rug, paint, shelves, clean out closet...the works!

my baby's room is also my "place where things without a home live" and that includes my cookbook collection. i must find something to house that in my kitchen.
This weekend is garage clean-up :D that's right folks, my garage will be in order and I am sure by the time the baby comes we will need to do it all over again

Since my bedroom is one big room (used to be 2 and never went back that way), we have to clean out that part of the room that will be the Bear Cub's and get it all ready for him/her!

I have a list a mile long of things for Joe to do Before Baby Bear!! He was cracking up over it because half of the stuff has nothing to do with the baby coming, it's me being neurotic and in the nesting mode that wants him to paint the entire house!!! What's wrong with that?

Since I couldn't do much nesting/redecorating b/c of the move, so my to do list included:

1. SLEEP

2. Spend time with DH, doing whatever, going out to eat, movies, laying on the couch watching TV

3. SLEEP

4. I took a week off from work before my EDD and went shopping alot, just walked around in the mall had lunch. It was great, since it's less crowded on the weekdys. I liked spending time by myself too.

5. More laying around watching TV with DH and SLEEPING!

6. Eating whatever I wanted.

I'm so glad I did all of these things then, b/c I'm not doing any of them now!!
