Aruba honeymooners
So, I want to start booking/planning my honeymoon. We've decided on Aruba. I really wanted to stay at the Hyatt, however, the Hyatt is sayinig that they want full payment up front and I am used to putting the first night on the card as downpayment and the rest gets paid when you arrive. Can anyone recommend a great hotel in Aruba that doesnt' want full payment up front?

Re: Aruba honeymooners
We stayed at the Radisson for our honeymoon, which was a beautiful hotel, but I am not sure if they require full payment, definitely check them out.

Re: Aruba honeymooners
We are staying at the Radisson and although we went through a travel agent - (In and Out Travel a vendor on here) we will have to pay all up front. We had to put down a $150 deposit and then pay the rest 45 days before the date of departure.
V&S - did you love the Radisson? Which room did you have?

Re: Aruba honeymooners
We stayed at the Allegro. It's not as nice as the Radisson, but was all-inclusive. We loved it and I belive they did not have to be paid upfront (but I could be wrong).

We loved it there, we stayed in the main tower where the main lobby was. I can't remember the name I'm sorry.

Re: Aruba honeymooners
Go to a Travel Agent. They usually only want a small deposit and final payment about a month before you travel. Plus you can get a package (air and hotel) instead of paying for the airline ticket directly to the airline.

Re: Aruba honeymooners
I booked my honeymoon for Aruba. I'm staying at the Divi. It is by far fancy. I booked a room where you walk out right onto the beach. I didn't have to put a lot of money doen and the balance isnt due until December. My sister stayed there for her honeymoon and loved it. How long are you really in the room for? Well...

Re: Aruba honeymooners
Okay, I spoke with American Express and they upgraded me (since I have a good record with them) and I can put any travel related expenses on my sign and travel and pay them off over time if I wish. Whew. Anyway, you guys all seem to think the Raddison is better than the Hyatt? What about the Wyndham?

Re: Aruba honeymooners
I stayed at the Wyndham on my HM there in May and it wasn't bad at all, only the rooms smelled a bit musty

Re: Aruba honeymooners
After doing the research for our stay in Aruba, there was mixed reviews about which is the best hotel, the Hyatt or the Radisson. Overall, the Hyatt is known as the best but what did it for me was the balcony. They Hyatt only has a step out balcony while the Radisson has a balcony that fits a table and chairs. The Radisson also offered breakfast as part of our package. You can also view the rooms on the Radisson website.

Re: Aruba honeymooners
I think I'm going to book the Radisson. I just went on their website. I'm going to post on the vendor board to see if someone can get me a nice deal. By the way, do these hotels do anything "extra" for you if they know it's your honeymoon?

Re: Aruba honeymooners
Call Ellen from In & Out Travel, they are a vendor on here, and she got me a great price for 2 weeks!
Aruba has "One Cool Honeymoon" but its only discount stuff at certain places & T shirts-sometimes they upgrade your room.
