Now that they are in a convertible car seat...

what do you do when you go out? The other car seat was great, because it gave me someplace to feed the babies, put them down, a place to sleep. Now that they are "big boys", I am wondering how to feed them solids when we go to someone's house. My car space is very limited. What do all the moms here do?

Also, we've been able to take them to restaurants in the seats. Do you find your baby is able to sit in a high chair available? They are almost 8 months and sit up well.

highchairs work best. It is much harder with the older car seats. Now you will always have to either carry them, or have a stroller. They also sell booster chairs that are portable and attach to tables. I have one but honestly, never really used it at restaurants since most had high chairs this is something we just left in the car for when we went to Grandma's

Luke is 9 months and he's been out of the infant seat for a few months. I mourned the passing also... but you'll get use to it. I know you have to do it all x2 so I can only imagine. Someone gave me a booster seat for my shower and it works pretty good.

Here's a link to it:
Booster Seat

I like the ones that clip on the side of the table but they arent as compact as this one. This secures under a chair with tension straps. Right now, Luke is a wiggler so I can't trust him in those high chairs they have a restaurants, the standard brown wood ones. I went to a diner the other day and they actually had the high chairs or the booster chairs and Luke was in the booster, happy as a clam, tearing up paper placemats and leaving lots of Cheerios under the table when we left.
