What kind of gifts do you continue to receive even though its not your type of thing?

My SIL has bought me insence a few times. I feel bad because I always wind up chucking it. I don't use that stuff.

sweaters...i don't like big bulky sweaters...and considering that we moved to a warm climate...i have no idea why my sister bought me one for my b-day ????

my SIL is into the southwestern theme, and she is always giving me something to that nature. It is NOT my style.

My MIL is getting better at buying me clothes, and my size. I rather she not, because she sees what I wear, and she insists on buying me old woman clothes

Fh's parents buy me snow globes for every holiday- for my "collection".

I never had a collection before they started buying them for me.....

Any sort of knick-knack or collectible. I dont like any of it! Very few people will buy it for me but when they do its clearly a thoughtless gift since all you have to do is know me for 5 minutes to know that is not me.

Waterballs. Granted, the theme's are very me....but I never said I collected them and people keep giving me them. I have 5.

Oh, and before I was married, this was pointless. Christmas ornaments. Now I need them and I'm glad I have them, but before I was always like..um...whhhyyyy? I'm jewish! I have more than my husband!

EVERY year without fail I get those gift sets with fruit flavored lotions and body spray from Victoria Secret from my FSIL!!!!!!
I know some people like them, but I HATE them!!!!!
Not only do I loathe fruit smelling stuff (especially Pear), but I think the VS stuff smells especially bad.

Stuffed animals i hate them unless they are very old from my childhood or from FH (he only bought me 1 or 2 untill I told him they cause clutter) now he stopped buying them.

I can't stand them! And people ALWAYS give them to me. I tried to throw them out once and my mom actually picked them out of my garbage!!
LOL- FH and I actually had an arguement about them this weekend of why I NEED to like them.

Oh and I hate any sort of bath set too...Bath and Body Works, VS, Body Shop would all go out of business if it were up to me.

A lot of crackheads because I have some of the most collectible ones too. I have the first Barbie ornament, (never collected barbie's in my life) a few "sisters are the best yada yada" from Sorority sisters (glad to see they really "knew" me), Hallmark Keepsakes....it's really funny. DH was like "what, why do you have these?!". I guess it was good forsight on the part of all the gift givers!

My FSIL and FMIL love to buy me crosses to wear around my neck, yet, neither FH nor I are religious. And come to think of it, neither is FSIL or FMIL..hmm...

clothing... my mom, and fiaces family tries to buy it for me but the only sucessful shoppers are his parents...

yabbobay.. the best is when you exchange gifts with people AFTER christmas and they give christmas themed items... makes me wonder if they bought it after christmas for 75% of..

however.. i do love getting new ornaments.. we leave the fake tree up for a while... I think we took it down right before superbowl last year..

i am hoping to receive no more christmas decorative gifts... the last couple of years i boughtmyself what i wanted and i have plenty
