CD Favor Picture and Question

I was playing around with packaging my CD favors and I like how this one came out. What do you think of it?

It is in a vellum envelope (which I saw in Martha Stewart Weddings). Do you think it would be better to give it in a plastic jewel case, rather than the vellum so people will have a cover for it? Or does it really matter?

I think that looks gorgeous! The presentation is more important than the jewel case.
I would do it just the way you have it.

I'm doing CD favors too & have been debating this. I like those velum covers a lot tho! nice presentation! I'm leaning towards going w/nicely wrapped jewel cases to preserve the CD tho.

I like the envelope..looks much better than a jewel case JMO...most people take them out of the case to put in a case logic book for the car or walkman anyway.

Yeah..where did you get the labeling and the cases from? Where did you find the best prices for the CD's? I know costco, Bj's etc has them at good prices..right? Are you also making labels on yoru computer for the actual CD, or did you leave them blank. I dont know what Im doing..thats why Im asking so many questions..

I love the way it looks, as well as the cardboard folders they sell,,,but I changed my mind and agreed with FH and his thoughts that for long tern the jewel case is better for people. Lasts longer and can loks just as pretty.

We plan on taking out picture at the beach of on motocycle and using it as teh CD label. The printing cover and insterts.

I LOVE that, it is very pretty.
Another option is also doing something like what I did. I put them in Slimline cases, then put them in an Organza baggie.

I love both of those-Liz-where did you get those bags from? I like those options better than simply just having the jewel cases strewn on a table.

I love the vellum envelope. I am using the white cardboard holders & definitly don't think its necessary to do the jewel cases.

oh I forgot to mention where to get teh stuff...
I got 100 clear cases for $10.00 (sale at Staples)
You can get the label stuff anywhere,,,best buy, staples, etc.
Come with the applicator to put the label in the center of the CD.

I got the baggies at Cheapribbons.com, go to the Organza section.
I got the size 6"x9" for $.66 each or $.58 in packs of 10

Right now they are having a sale -- the % off varies on how much you spend. It starts at 5% off up to $50 and so forth..........

Here's another option for clear jewel cases - we'll probably do 1 of these & wrap them up nice, along w/the case inserts:




these clear jewel cases look much better than the ones w/black cases.

Thanks for all of the compliments! I think I am going to package them like this.

As far as the prices, I have only made this one sample, so I haven't bought everthing in bulk yet. I have to shop around for prices. I found the envelopes on whiteaisle.com for 50 cents each. Does anyone know where I can get them cheaper. That size is hard to find.
