HELP....I am haveing major flower issues

As you know I LOVE JACK AND ROSE...
My problem:
(Centerpeices are included in hall price.)
I would ideally love him to do centerpieces but not sure if I should spend the extra money and just go with house florist
I asked Jack if I took out the c-peices how much would it be he said like $200 or $300 less??? how can that be for 10 tables? That's $30/c-peices..that's too low. Shouldn't it be more like $600-$700 less???

I really liked him and his attitude, but did he just say that, so I would include them in???

I know he is wonderful and want him definetly for B-Qs, but I am not sure if for the money it's worth it, HELP

I would call him and tell him you want a break down of what is included in your price. Foe example, how much are you ppaying per centerpiece...how much for the brides B-quet and how much for the bridesmaids. Then see if it equals out...because really the centerpieces are the bulk of your money. Also, since you wouldn't be using the house florist for included centerpieces then maybe your hall can through something extra in for you. You should inquire about that too.

I like this style...Just different flowers (gardenias, roses, gerber daisys,,,fuller/ellegant)

Well then I would definitely call him...and ask....what type of centerpiece did he quote you a price for?

any type of LOW I want, like the 2nd one I posted, any type of container, flower, candle, etc.

Will the hall credit you the price of the centerpeices that they are including if you dont use them...you should ask them bec i asked the halls that did include the flower centerpieces and they told me if i wanted my own that they would credit me...granted they said they would only credit $10 a piece...still an option...

Did you ask SMCC what would happen if you wanted to upgrade your centerpieces? Do they do that ? Call Jack and tell him that this is what you wanted to spend for you B-quts (if you decide not to use him for centerpieces) and see what he says...wait let me look to see what my breakdown is for b-quots.....I'll Fm you in a minute

Yes, SMCC does offer money $8 per table. But I had issues with house florist.... when I called to make appoinment, I told them I was getting married at SMCC and would like to make an appoinment to discuss the flowers and upgrade costs, he said "why don't you call me when you have your flowers." Not friendly at all.

I should not have to deal with someon who does not want to meet with me (bringing that up when I go in 2 weeks)

our hall cam with cp too, but the gave us credit towards them and we got our centerpieces from someone else.

Jenny, ask them for a breakdown cost per every item.

then go from there. Or ask SMMC if yu can use their actual centerpeices and have your florist fill them.

Just a suggestion

or just splurge and cut something else out like I did.

thanks Wacky (I am livid at the house florist,,not a good attidute towards customers and respresents SMCC badly)

Tomorrow,,,my plan, is to talk to Jack and tell him how I feel about the added expense, and get a breakdown of all the prices. Then ask if I can just plan for B-Qs and then if I decide to not go with house florist, hve option to add centerpieces.

jenny, def check it out.. for daisies and carnations don't cost much AT ALL.. which is why they are soo cheap..

alot of times the updgrade is alot of $$ compared to just showing up at any florist and getting a price.

Wacky,,SMCC's Floral Park I think is it. They guy's tone was like he wanted nothing to to with me.

So I am not wronge going to Jack and Rose and asking for itemized and option to add centerpieces at another time?? (if I really have problems with house florist)

I would def. go with the outside florist. I'm so glad I opted for centerpieces. But definitely still get an itemized list. You should know exactly what you're paying for at all times

At my hall they provided centerpieces however I am NOT going with them. I went to the house florist to upgrade and they were a joy to work with. Obviously that is not the case with you- so I would go with Jack and Rose.

He has a great reputation.

Thank you for the advice... I thought he opened at 10am today (that is what my price printout said), but he didn't,,12....so trying to get in touch to make an appointment. Will let you know what happends then
