Saturday night weddings - what is your ceremony time if right before the reception?
What time are you putting on the invitation and what time is the ceremony actually starting?

I'm putting 6:30 on the invites, ceremony starts at 7:00 and the hall provides drinks starting at 6:30.

Invitation will call for 7:30 and the ceremony will start at 8. We have to do it after sundown...it really should be after Shabbos which would be after 9pm.

Most weddings I have been to are called fro 7:00 and the ceremony starts at 7:30. My FH feels like it is always so late - you end up eating dinner at like 11:00! We're in discussions though because he wants to put 6:00 on the invite and start the ceremony at 6:30 - I want to put 6:30 and start at 7:00. Is 6:00 too early for a Saturday night? The wedding will be over at midnight.

I am putting 8:30 ( maybe 9:00 still thinking) and that when the ****tail hour starts. The ceremony will be right after that.

We put 7:00 but the ceremony starts at 7:30. The hall provides drinks from 7.

My wedding is in January. Does anyone think it matters as far as time goes for the wedding that it gets dark at 4:30?! I'm thinking we can go a little earlier than we would in the middle of the summer.

ceremony is at 5:30 and that's what we put on the invite. cocktail hour starts as soon as the ceremony is over, about 6 i guess.
