I'm sorry to post on the NWD board, but need help with alternative centerpieces
Can any of you give me ideas for alternatives to the standard centerpiece. I've seen Marcella's feathers, and although they are very pretty, we don't think they'd work with the daytime garden wedding we're having.
We were thinking of a fruitbowl w/some flowers, but haven't seen many pics. HELP! Thanks!

Are you looking to make them yourself?? Are you having a garden theme?? If so how about ivy topiaries in terra cotta pots. What kind of flowers are you having in your bouquets??

Diane, I was thinking the same thing! Maybe moss topiaries too. Or also maybe you can use some of those green or stone style garden statues (can be bought for $20-30) with some petals or greens around them. This may go with your garden theme and can look elegant when done right!

What about a bowl of floating flowers, maybe with a floating candle.
Flowers in a watering can could also work with a garden theme

Go to Barnes and Nobles and check out some of the wedding books. I know one of Martha Stewart's books has a sugared fruit bowl that is beautiful! She also has a bowl of lemons in a pretty glass bowl with ribbons that is also really nice.
