My May 11th wedding review-very long
It was truly the best day of my life. I had a ball, I enjoyed every minute. I didn't even mention the rain until almost the end of the night, it didn't bother me one bit. Thank you all so much for all your advice, especially my fellow May brides,
it truly helped make the day special.
My gown & BM dresses: RK Bridal. This is a mixed review. My dress came in really early, I saved $900 and was thrilled. The BM dresses however came in the week on the wedding. They were not at all helpful in the store and I thought I would have to get other dresses. The prices can't be beat but if you use them, start early.
Ceremony: St Boniface in Elmont. The ceremony was so wonderful. Father Willie was funny and entertaining.He also allowed Shaun's uncle who's a Baptist minister to sit on the altar and do the ring ceremony in addition to the hands ceremony which he was supposed to do. It made it really special. I cried like a fool during the hands ceremony, I'm sure the pictures are very unattractive but oh well. The singer was phenomenal, if anyone needs a singer, FM me. It was all bettter than I ever imagined.
Flower Michele: I can't emphasize enough how much I loved my flowers. I was out when the bouquets came and I cried when I came home and saw them. The centerpieces were gorgeous and the altar flowers were out of this world. I asked John to do the cake for me at the last minute and I'm so glad I did. I could go on and on.
Cassarino:
I had Ray and Anthony. They were very sweet and put everyone at ease. I don't know how they managed to get our families to cooperate for pictures but they did. I have total confidence that I will love the pictures. I had some issues with Cassatino earlier but I was very happy with them on the day. Ray was a little rude to Bill from Wild Rose at times but it was unintentional-he kept blocking shots that Bill wanted too.
Wild Rose: Bill was great, very easy to work with. He and Marie are the nicest people. I again have total confidence that the video will be terrific. You barely notice he's there but he gets everything. He was very patient with my crazy family and with Ray though I could tell he was annoyed.
Alexis Limos: I was very happy with them.
We had a gorgeous Rolls Royce for us and cadillac limos for the party and the families. The cars were all early, very clean and new. The drivers were so nice and helpful. They really kept us organized. They sent a van at the end of the night to drive Shaun's family to Best Western. They also sent one of the limos to the Fox Hollow Inn to take us to the airport the next day. My only complaint is that they thought we were going to JFK instead of Laguardia and started to drive us there. We wound up being late and missing our flight. I do take a lot of the blame for it, we had to stop at my mother's house to pick up my wallet and that added to the lateness. I still think they are great and highly recommend them.
Elegancia Entertainment: Curly recommended them and she was so right. The dance floor was full
from start to finish. I can't tell you how many people said they never danced so much or had so
much fun at a wedding. Karina, you have to get the dancing on the cloud and the name in lights-the guests went crazy-its so cool. Overall, this was probably the best decision I made.
Fox Hollow:
I can't say enough about Fox Hollow. The service, the food, everything was perfect. The food was so good although I didn't eat much. The guests raved about it. The cocktail was beautiful. I ran in for a few minutes just to see everything. No one ever had to wait for a drink. Everyone was stuffed, they couldn't believe it when the waiters came around with seconds. The viennese trays were gorgeous but no one ate anything because they were so full.
I am totally thrilled with my choice. I have no complaints.
I can't think of anything else, ask me questions about anything I forgot.

Thank you all for the compliments. Jennyg I have to get back to you about the make-up artist, her name is Marise Sabowsky-I can't find her info now. She was great, she stayed with me all day and touched my make-up whenver I needed it. It wasn't that expensive and I felt like a queen. I highly recommend her.
Radiostar you have good eyes. That's my friend Asia, she was Bridal Guide's bride of the year in 2001. She was in 5 issues of the magazine and on wedding story. I was in her wedding.

You made a really gorgeous bride. All your photos very very beautiful.
I would like to know about the gowns you ordered at RK Bridal. When did you order your gown and when did you order the BM's. Was it timing that caused the problem or the manufacturer of the BM's dresses who delayed. They were very pretty. Who made them?
