I got severe addiction too- which is why I do not eat carbs.. no rice, pasta, chips, potatoes, or sugar... just non-starchy veggies, and protein and fiber.

Sassy - have you lost any weight since you changed your eating habits? I am trying so hard to drop some pounds and nothing seems to work! The one other time I lost weight fairly easily with minimum stress and fuss was when I cut waaaaay back on my carbs. I think I dropped 30 lbs and looked great. One friend told me that I looked like Rachel, only Rachel that someone had stuck a straw in and ****ed all the puffiness out!

I have lost 15 lbs.. but I have cheated a few times.... I pretty much eat what i want- just no carbs and NO SUGAR- I watch for foods that have a high glycemic index- that would spike my insulin- and stay away.
I pretty much eat like a diabetic.

HOw do you know if they have a high glycemic index? I know you should avoid foods with words in the ingredients that end in "ose" (fructose, glucose, sucrose) etc.
Also do you get your fiber from the good veggies? Starchy veggies are like chickpeas, kidney beans, carrots, avocados etc....right?

I get my fiber from veggies- but not from starchy veggies- there is good fiber content in spinach and broccoli.. also a lot of low carb foods (such as low carb wraps) are very high in fiber.
If you are in NYC I would be more than happy to help anyone understand WOE- over a nice glass of red wine- which is low carb- it's so much to type.

yikes 9! i'm definitely addicted. i don't know what else i would eat though?? i'm pretty picky, i hate red meat, don't like most fish, and only really enjoy chicken that has breading on it. i'm doomed
