So we had to cancel our trip to italy...
luckily we only gave a deposit that we got back...
we are in the process of rebooking for a different week in september so we are still going!!! YEY
I don't know if we should book it all online or go through a travel agent again. I feel like im finding better deals online but I am nervous. What do you guys think?

Jenny I'm sorry. I feel like a doucher now for saying I'm going to italy. Anyway I booked my trip thru a rep at the airlines call center. I'd say call them who are u flying with?

We booked our HM to Italy ourselves b/c the rates online were better than the travel agent could offer.

Am I the only one who NEVER uses a travel agent? DH and I always plan ourselves, and even before I met him and would go away with friends, it was the same. I have no idea what I would do with a travel agent.

haha why would you feel like that?! dont be crazy 
Anyhow we are still going .. we just realized we had to push it back 2 weeks then originally planned and i was going to have the travel agent do it but i found better deals online so I took my deposit back and told her i would be back in on the weekend to decide. i really feel like i can get it cheaper online but im nervous for some reason.

I always use a travel agent, I feel the extra money is worth it to know you have someone on your side looking out for you. Then again... my father has been booking travel with the same travel agent since I was little. So she has a history with us. She not only looked out for us in Hawaii (even on things she wasn't getting a commission on that we booked with points.) She also sent champagne and choc strawberries to our room.
But even without having history with someone, I still think its a good way to plan. Its just safer, especially if you have to change your plans again.

oh no! What happened?
Nothing! We found out the day after we booked it that a friend planned their wedding for that week so we had to move it back a week or two. No biggie. Good thing they told us

I kind of did that. I brought her all the info with the hotels i want and the airline etc and how much it came out to and she said she couldnt book those hotels... I think she has itineraries with set hotels and doesnt want to bother looking into the other ones for me. I am going to go to a few other places this weekend... or just book it online myself. I did that when I went to amsterdam and paris and everything was awesome...

us too..we never use a travel agent..but i never went anywhere like italy though
anyways..im glad u guys are still going
