Need Advice about Bridal Party?
Okay, so here it goes....I am a bridesmaid in a wedding and I have offered to help numerous times in regards to the arrangements. MOH is picking up tab for almost the entire party. BP is responsible for doing other stuff (favors, decorations etc) I have offered to email the out of state girls in order to round up some money for the extras. The MOH wants nothing to do with me helping at all. I don't know what the deal is. I feel that at this point with the shower 2 months away and no invitations sent out that maybe this is going to be a disaster. I feel badly for the bride b/c every bride deserves a great shower! What do you ladies think? Should I just sit back and see what happens?

IMO you should wait another week, 2 at most and contact the brides mother and offer your services.

I would email the other BM's and ask what they are doing? Maybe you and the other girls can do decorating or keeping the bride busy the day of the shower so she is surprised.
Try and talk to the other BM's and get their imput.

I woul talk to the other girls and see what they think. If everyone is in all on the same page then call the mother of the bride to offer services.

Definitely talk to the other girls. If one of them has a relationship w/the MOH maybe ask them to talk to her about getting involved. But if she doesn't show some interest soon, you may have to start planning without her. good luck!

I agree with what has been said. Contact everyone else first. Make sure that nothing is being done and then get going. You are such a good friend to be so conscious of what is happening with her shower!

I dealt with the same situation last year when I was in a wedding. It's so frustrating - she was a control freak and the party didn't turn out that great because she didn't let anyone help.
