Duet Help Again
I know I had a whole other post going on but I feel like up until now my wedding plans have been going so smoothly and now I am pretty much panicking. My situation with Duet (posted earlier about this) is really making me start to second guess my choice to use them. Any suggestions or advice? Has anyone got their e-pics/wedding pics back from Duet TJ recently. If so, please post. I'm wondering if I should start looking into fall back options. Ugh, so upset tonight. I guess it was only a matter of time before this planning became stressfull.

Don't let this bother you or stress you out...its not worth it. Maybe consider chaging dates even though you said you took of specifially for your e-pics...

Re: Duet Help Again
I think you're getting stressed for no reason. Like I said in my previous post, this seems to happen to them every year and I haven't heard anything disappointing from brides as a result. TJ was amazing at our shoot, his ideas were awesome and sometimes you just have to wait for what's best!!! Don't stress

Re: Duet Help Again
Mama, don't stress out. Look, I booked Duet based MOSTLY on research, LIW and speaking to other brides. Photography was the ONE area I didn't want to skimp. I wanted 'the best'. So I chose Duet and booked them- I didn't even meet with any other photographers, just them, and I literally walked into the appointment ready to book them, based on positive reviews, excellent feedback and a stellar reputation. (Which is TOTALLY not my style- looked at 7 halls, 6 bridal salons, etc)
That was about a month ago.
Well, since then, I started to second guess myself. Maybe I should have met with more photogs, maybe i should have met with Patken/Blue Daisy/etc. And then today we had our e-pics done. I cannot express to you how much Duet/Nick EXCEEDED our expectations. He was a total pro, incredibly creative with poses, and went over an hour and a half.
And now I am incredibly confident in my decision to book Duet- as is fh- and we are excited and delighted with our e-pic session. And excited to have them do our wedding.
Just have faith. They have a stellar reputation for a reason. Don't get stressed- there has got to be a solution. And I think you shouldn't second guess yourself (like I did!)- its a total waste of mental energy and time.
Just my two cents- fm me if you need more info-good luck!!!

Re: Duet Help Again
There has to be a solution. Did you have your heart set on a SPECIFIC pumpkin patch or do you think you could find one closer to the city or their studio that would be mutually convenient?
What about the Queens County Farm Museum in Floral Park? It was just in New York Magazine's wedding edition and I think there is a 08 bride that got married there - maybe you could look into it?
Also - we took our e-pics at Morgan Park in Glen Cove - haven't gotten them back yet, but check out bride2bebe's epics - she took them there, the scenery is amazing.
There have to be options!!! We will figure this out!

Re: Duet Help Again
Thank you so much ladies! I am already starting to feel better. I will definitely look into the Queens place although I did have my heart set on one in Suffolk County. I had a long talk with FH tonight and I am going to try calling Duet tomorrow to see if maybe we could compromise. FH said he will take the whole day off from work as opposed to a half day that way maybe we can meet them earlier (11:30-12:00) and they could hopefully eat the extra 7 miles.
Thank you again for all your input and if anyone has any other location suggestions I'm definitely up for hearing them. I really need to get myself on here more often. The positive advice is great and it's soo comforting to know there are other brides that feel the same way. I am the first of all my friends to get married and all my relatives have been married for years (and seem to have forgotten what a big deal this stuff is) so it's really nice to here other brides opinions who are going through the planning at the same time.
