Re: weight loss tips and diets

i lost 20 -- congrats on 50!!!!!

WEIGHT WATCHERS is amazing. I also worked out 6 days a week, 1 hour of cardio (even walking is a-ok) and weight trained twice a week -- I wanted my arms to be defined! Good luck!

ETA: I go to Lucille Roberts -- personal training sessions there are very affordable!!!!!!!

Re: weight loss tips and diets

I agree about WW. I lost almost 50 pounds 3 years ago. I'm a leader now too.

There are 3 payment plans:

1. $12 per week + $20 registration fee
2. $179 for 17 weeks (averages to $10.53 per week, no registration fee)
4. $39.95 per month (no registration fee, averages to $9.22 per week). you also get free e-tools, which is the internet companion so you can do everything online as well.

FM me if you have anymore questions about WW.

Re: weight loss tips and diets

14 day acai berry cleanse.. then a strick fruit, veggie & grilled chicken diet!! I've done it before and lost over 50lbs but since I have gained it back plus some.. So now I am back at it again but it will be a lifestyle change, not a diet!

Good luck to everyone else!!

Re: weight loss tips and diets

weight training, cardio (interval training- work out total time less, but work harder), and diet.

low carb (lots of veggies), increase protein.

These changes helped me tone up before my wedding. Its a life style change as far as the eating. I start everyday with egg whites, tomatoes, broccoli, etc vs cereal. A lot more food and yummy!

Re: weight loss tips and diets

i've been on a diet since feb 25 so just over 8 months. i'm down 55 lbs.

exercise is great YES but i tell everyone, it's 90% changing your diet.

if you're still eating junk there's no way you can exercise enough to burn it off.

try to just go walk 30 minutes a couple times a week and then build from there.

as far as diet -- i count calories. i started out at 1500 calories per day and worked down to 1200 calories where i'm at now.

and i can't give props to OATMEAL enough. it's really a superfood i think. if you watch dr. oz -- he brings back people who have lost a bunch of weight and has them tell people 'how they did it'. every single one will say they eat oatmeal frequently. its low calorie, high fiber and great for bringing down cholesterol.

i have at least two bowls a day. one for breakfast and then i often have it as an evening snack. i have the plain quick oats, i prepare it with water and then will add a little bit of skim milk and splenda. mm. delish.

FM if you want to chat about diet stuff. i'm going for 5 more lbs by xmas.

Running helps for me. It allows me to not be severely strict and eat out of the "norm" every once in a while, while maintaining my weight

I was just talking about Fat Smash on the other post...what kind of success did you have? I only did the detox for 6 days and I then fell off the wagon (birthday and get togethers at work), but I want to start up again. I think it is a plan that I can realistically stick to if I put my mind to it.

One thing I did notice..I wasnt hungry cause the amount of food was filing...I just craved the sweets.
