So excited FI got approved for his vacation days
He put in his vacation request for June 3 weeks ago and was denied because they said he didnt have the appropriate days needed. He showed them a pay stub and showed he worked extra days for comp days and he had to resubmit his sheet.
He was also told that airport employees may not get approved for summer vacations because they need all hands on deck and its a busy season and they need everyone at work.
Well I guess submitting a vacation request 2 months early pays off, he just called me now that it's posted he got approved to take his days. He is off on Mondays and Tuesdays so we are planning on going to FL June 19 - 24. We'll be staying with friends so all we have to pay for is our flight (jetblue) and a small rental car.
I am so excited. We both really need to get away and I cant wait to see my Matron and the best man. Last time we saw them was in September 2 weeks after we got engaged (and thats when I asked her to be my Matron)

When he told me i screamed into the phone and was jumping up and down.
Northport FL. Its about 30 min south of Sarasota. We use Fort myers as our nearest airport.
I cant wait to check out the new model homes that have been built and to see my land.

Yeah - thats a nice start to the weekend. My FMIL lives in Sarasota. I love it there. And I have an Aunt who lives in Vinece (SP?). How far is the Fort Myers Airport?

I am ready to start packing.
I went on an interview today, but I dont want to jinx it. It seems very promising. Everything went very well and I left on a good note with the 2 people I met. I'll know more on Monday or Tuesday

Fort myers airport is about 30 min from Northport.
Sarasota is about 30 - 45 min away. Our friend's family all lives in Sarasota and they work in Sarasota. North port is like the suburbs and sarasota is like the city

The calendar is all marked up.
I am also planning a little surprise party thing between Tim, Grace, and Me for FI because he turns 30 June 25th. We come home on the 24th so we're planning a small little surprise cake and party for him. Just the 4 of us

FI just called me and I answered the phone AHH I am so glad its you I have wonderful money news.
He is so happy.
I always thought I could never leave NY, but when we went the first time to FL to visit our friends we saw the models and the prices and I asked one woman if I could move in now. She laughed.
Its so beautiful down their.
Where in Northport??
Our friends are on Sheboygan Ave (Its near Price but I have absolutly no sense of direction of the area. FI is really really good with the area and we've been their only 2 times)
