are you all wearing slips
my dress is a line. how do i know if i need a slip. does everyone wear them? where can i buy one and are they all the same, how do i know if it works with my dress, or should i buy it only from my bridal shop?

I have an A-Line also, I wasnt planning on wearing a slip until I tried on my acutal dress. My consultant said that I needed a slip just make the dress lay right. Nothing poofy though

Mine is also A line and I am wearing one. I tried it with, without and a double. That is how I decided. Your bridal shop should have them for you.

i think stayandjohn hit the nail on the head. even if you don't want the poofiness, you still need some sort of slip so that your dress hangs correctly. one of my GF decided not to wear her slip the day of her wedding, and honestly, her dress did not lay right on her.

I didn't want one at first, because I am not a poofy person. But it does add to the beauty of the dress. It makes it look full and beautiful. Try one on where you bought the dress. They should have them there when you try on gowns. You can try the dress on with and without it and see what you like better. But in the end, I am wearing one.

Same here, I am wearing a slip, it makes the dress a little more comfortable and it lets the dress lay better.

no slip for me for my a-line dress. I am not a fan of poufiness and my dress has a small toulle mini slip to hold it up.

I am having a little extra crinoline sewn into my dress to make it lay right.
I will not wear a slip though. The middle of my dress is plain so you can see every little thing. That's why I don't think I can wear stockings either....I just hope its not too itchy.
