Is this proper invitation wording?

My parents will be hosting our wedding but I want to still acknowledge my fiance's parents on the invitations. I've seen invitations worded this way in the past but I can't seem to find any examples on the web (surprisingly). If anyone knows a good link I would really appreciate it. In the meantime, here is what I came up with:

Mr. and Mrs. John XXXX
request the honour of your presence
at the marriage of their daughter
Lisa Marie
to
Vincent Matthew
son of Mr. and Mrs. Matthew XXXX
on Saturday, the twenty first of August
two thousand and four
at three o'clock
CHURCH NAME
CHURCH CITY, STATE

One question though, when mentioning my fiance's name, is it proper to refer to him as "Mr. Vincent Matthew XXXX" or is that overkill if I'm mentioning his parents and their last name below. Also, should twenty first be hyphenated. Please help!!!! I don't know what I'm doing. Thanks ladies!!!

Re: Is this proper invitation wording?

The way you have it listed is fine. It is the proper way to word it.

One other little tidbit for you though, It shoud say "Two thousand four", there should not be an "and" in there as "and" indicates a decimal point. (six semesters of calculus, it was ingrained in my head!)

Re: Is this proper invitation wording?

that's exactly how i have my invitation worded, with FH's first and middle name (not Mr. blah blah).
as for the year "two thousand and four", after MUCH research i found that wedding etiquette makes the "and" acceptable and most appropriate - NOT "two thousand four."

Re: Is this proper invitation wording?

I think the way you have it worded is okay.
