Just got this great recipe for a low-point treat!

Low-Point Cupcakes

1 box Dunkin Hines (they have the lowest # of calories)
1 can of Diet Coke, Pepsi ... Vanilla flavored can also be used

Mix ingredients together
Use full a size cupcake tin
Fill each to almost the top
You will not get much rise out of them, but they are very moist!

****Add 1 tbsp FF Cool Whip if desired

2 cupcakes for 3 points!!!

We tried them at our ww meeting today & they were great!!!

Just wanted to share for those of you who share my sweettooth & are dying for a low point desert!

Ooohh that sounds good! I am going to go out and buy some cake mix!

Do you need to add the egg whites to the chocolate cupcakes?

Re: Just got this great recipe for a low-point treat!

This was a great recipe...except I've eaten about half the batch already!

Also, I used the Duncan Hines Moist Devils Food Cake mix and maybe it's because it's the moist kind, but it is 4 points for 2 cupcakes. I guess that means I've eaten about 24 points worth

Re: Just got this great recipe for a low-point treat!

I am confused, does this mean use only the mix and soda??? And that tastes good? It sounds freaky Do you cook it according to the instructions on the box?

Re: Just got this great recipe for a low-point treat!

I did it!!! I followed the exact recipe on the box, temperature, amount of time, and amount of eggs... I just substituted one can of diet coke for the water and oil!!! My goodness they were yummy! Very sweet though!! But yes I did have 3!! Haha!! That's okay, I came in way under today!

Thanks Christine!

Re: Just got this great recipe for a low-point treat!

I didn't use the egg whites and they still came out very yummy. Next time I make them I might only make 1/2 a box at a time. There were way too many cupcakes laying around for me to eat!

Re: Just got this great recipe for a low-point treat!

You guys are tooo funny!

We didn't add the whites b/c it adds more points & was fine w/o it. They were a little moist though. I didn't care! So if you're feeling like it, bring the rest to work to let the others share & you won't have too many lying around. Or give them to your neighbors kids. & that makes you the neighborhood HERO!!!

GLAD YOU LIKED THEM!!!

Re: Just got this great recipe for a low-point treat!

3 egg WHITES are 1 point...

Edited to add: I've been just saying each cupcake is 2pts each, rather than having two and saying 3 points... it's probably less, but I play it safe that way! A 2 points cupcake is NOT bad at all!

atta girl ... Karen! I'm in love with Cool whip from the freezer, so I have to be careful! I'll eat the whole tub, if I don't watch it! Great idea with the strawberries!

I am trying it now for St. Patty's Day. I made it with Choc. mix and Caffine-free Diet Coke and 2 egg whites. I hope they taste yummy.

Re: Just got this great recipe for a low-point treat!

I made them with just a can of coke and my sister couldn't tell the difference. They talked about them at my mom's WW meeting and they suggested a can of black cherry soda.
